Isaac Block, Teacher 

Isaac Block teaches natural history, math, science and intermediate middle school Latin at Western Academy.  He has worked for Sandia National Laboratories, and tutored mathematics for Sylvan Learning Center.  Isaac is a private pilot, and his love of the outdoors has been developed by spending many summers in the Pecos wilderness of New Mexico.  Issac earned a B.S. in mathematics from the University of New Mexico, where he interned with the Physics and Astronomy Department, and an S.T.M. from the International Theological Institute in Austria, where he taught English and catechism at the Language and Catechetical Institute to students from former Soviet-bloc countries.  Isaac also has an M.A. in philosophy and is currently writing his doctoral dissertation in philosophy at the University of St. Thomas, where he also teaches as an adjunct professor.
