Old Boy in the Air

From Elliot Bing (Shell 2012), one of our founding students and first graduating class…

These days I have been trying to get in the air as much as possible. I recently got my Private pilot’s license, granting me the ability to take friends and family up, or even alone if I so wish. I cannot fly into clouds and cannot fly for hire. However, I can keep training, and striving for new ratings, licenses and aircraft to fly. With the serious shortage of pilots, in airlines and flight school, it will offer a rewarding career path, and opportunity. The training is intense, but has opened many doors of opportunity. The rating I am working on now would allow me to fly without reference to the horizon. For example, in the clouds or in bad weather.
