Major Eagle Scout Project is a Wrap!

In mid-January, Frederick Ruppert (’22), a Junior at St. Thomas High, worked with the Friends of Woodland Park and the City of Houston to clean out the Bayou at Woodland Park.

Frederick organized other fellow Scouts, including his brother, Harry (’25), to accomplish what turned out to be a Herculean task! To complete the project, they ended up clearing out three dozen old tires, shopping carts, car parts, two recliners and about countless plastic bags and bottles. He removed the tires and transported them to a nearby recycling center.

Eagle has been Frederick’s goal since he began Scouts in 2nd grade, and he is now staring at the finish line! So, congrats and well-done young man, for making Houston that much more beautiful!
